`jblask` Thanks Nomad I appreciate it very much! That is an interesting point, the obscuring fog kind of serves the same function that grainy videos or VHS glitching does in found footage!

`Peyo` Hamster Victory!!! I believe you shall enjoy that new feature too!

`Peyo` WOW thank you very much, it works great! That's going to make a huge difference in how nice it is to work in the art app! I just tried it out and it seems perfect!

It almost seems to grow to fill the space available!

Also in the first post I originally had it as TED talk but then Barococopper called it TFD talk so I changed it! Because that's WAY better. But then she also said "Technically on there you are TED because TeeEffDee" but I ignored THAT part and went with TFD talk.

Just to give an example I am doing a panel that requires a lot of layout work due to being complex, and so I am using a drawing tool set to size 1 and opacity 30 to sketch. I keep wanting to erase, but every time I invoke the eraser (I am used to drawing in Krita so my brain sort of says "The Eraser will have its own settings" this why I keep doing this) and try to erase nothing happens since it's a tiny eraser at a 30 opacity. Were tools able to persist in their settings I could have a sketch tool to do layouts with and an eraser I could erase with, without changing the settings every time I switch.

`Peyo` One thing that would benefit me a lot (and probably others) would be if there was a checkbox to turn on persistent tool settings per tool. Right now, for anything moderately complex, so much of my time is spent adjusting tools as I switch between them that if the settings would stay as they are for each tool between switches it would make a huge difference! I do think it should be an optional setting however as some people might not like it. Piggybacking on this would be a request for tool sets, such as have been used in Drawpile and Aggie where you have a set of several tabs, and you can set your tools up under each tab so that by switching tabs you switch to different tool setups. For example tab 1 might have a large, low-alpha eraser and a low-opacity pencil tool and be your sketching tab, tab 2 might have a hard-edged 100% opacity eraser and a 100% opacity pen tool and be your inking tab, and so on, making it easy to switch tool sets based on what you are doing. Thank u for coming 2 my TFD talk.

`Peyo` Well Arrakis is literally Spice World so the Spice Girls connection makes sense! This is one of my favorite movies of all time so I really enjoyed this comic, I was just surprised that Gurney Halleck running into battle holding his pug didn't get a reference from you considering your pug affinity (like the art site.) You mentioned Dune didn't make sense to you as a programmer, and what's interesting is that the universe it takes place in has a religious and legal ban on advanced computers since an event called The Butlerian Jihad where AI (Thinking Machines) tried to take over, and were finally defeated! Great work, as a fan of David Lynch, the Spice Girls and Dune this was unexpected and a treat!

Peyo when people come to your site go... "LET ME SHOW YOU ITS FEATURES" https://youtu.be/vdjGIpqb32g?t=22

`⚰` Hiiii actually there's a great new feature where you can pin a comment under a strip you create so it shows up at the very top as an instruction panel or a notation panel. You might want to give it a shot by making a comment that tells what you have in mind for the strip or if everyone's welcome, or what you'd like to see! I have found a lot of people hold back on participating because they're not sure if their contribution would be welcome, so doing a "come on in" post at the top using the pin would help. I like your strip idea and I'll do a panel in it later on but I gotta run fur now!

Features working as intended.

`Peyo` Actually I just found that out by pinning yours in a thread!

2022-11-06 12:06:39
Yuss that's what I was thinking, like the thumbnail could be another strip you made, so you could make just a single panel for the thumbnail or make your own thumbnail strip where you put your thumbnails, or whatever.

2022-11-06 12:04:14

`Peyo` Excellent feature! What confused me is I thought pinning the comment would be an option when making the post, but it turns out first you make the comment, then you can pin it to win it!

`Carrot^abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqr new line` Thankxu. I am glad to see you care at all!!!

`Peyo` Yes, it's awesome! But how do I pin a blurb on my own strips? I can't find it.

2022-11-06 09:08:27
`Peyo` I'd say the main issue is, can it be removed later, so if someone wants the blurb there during production but then after it's finished wants to remove it, will they be required to live with it? Like for example if it was a comment that was specially designated to use as the blurb, later can it be un-designated at least so it's no longer at the top?

2022-11-06 08:44:48
`Peyo` If it's pinned above the work that would work great! But if it's just pinned down in the comment section it may as well just be a normal comment. This site's not exactly comment heavy!

`Peyo` Another "would be really nice to have" feature. Just as you can assign a panel to be the background for an animation, please have the option to assign a panel as the thumbnail that shows up for a strip in place of the first panel. This would be great for creating easily readable titles, especially for series.
