and that concludes this episode of the VHS chronciles .. now.. I must tell you that I first saw Dune as a bootleg VHS when I was really young (8-10 something) and the VHS had subtitles and it was neither in hungarian or english .. and back then I thought they invented a whole different language for the movie
.. and I was disappointed when I learned they didn't
but to this day that is the only dune media that I like (expect for the parts where they are shouting)
thing is, maybe because I'm a programmer the world of dune just doesn't make sense to me .. and I don't even like the games .. sorry for rambling, thing is this was indeed the longest VHS chronicles episode so far but I don't want to give anyone the impression that I like dune.. I just had a lot of things to make fun of
still I wish they made one dune movie with this as the theme song:

why I find it so strangely fitting to the world of dune I'll never know
`Peyo` Well Arrakis is literally Spice World so the Spice Girls connection makes sense!
This is one of my favorite movies of all time so I really enjoyed this comic, I was just surprised that Gurney Halleck running into battle holding his pug didn't get a reference from you considering your pug affinity (like the art site.)
You mentioned Dune didn't make sense to you as a programmer, and what's interesting is that the universe it takes place in has a religious and legal ban on advanced computers since an event called The Butlerian Jihad where AI (Thinking Machines) tried to take over, and were finally defeated!
Great work, as a fan of David Lynch, the Spice Girls and Dune this was unexpected and a treat!
it's just strange to me.. I mean I understand the fact that in the 60s people didn't knew much about computers but still accounting was around for thousands of years without computers yet they rely on people with their minds to do it
also somehow you cannot shoot people because of shields because of random nuclear explosions yet two people can melee no problem (all games and movies seem to ignore this though and people fire away at anything that moves)
I guess what bothers me is that at first this seems like a missed opportunity - like people could use Babbage tech analog clockwork computers at least or something..
but the reality is that it's all forced because the author wanted to concentrate on the politics of the world and didn't really bother to work these parts out
so it's an interesting setting but there are just way too many plotholes for me to enjoy it
