please list here the devices you use to draw
(also maybe the resolution e.g. 1920x1080 and what OS: windows, linux, android, chrome OS.. whatever you can the more the better .. and also if the current drawing tool looks horrid and/or is unusable on your end)
in my case it's Win7 1920x1080
(the initial site was optimised for this due to an oversight: i hardly ever use my phone and it didn't occur to me to check how it looks on it)
Hey peyo! On break at work right now, so my time is limited, but; the site looks good on mobile! And the jump down buttons work. I'm honoured I inspired a feature ^=^
Omg, I commented on the wrong thread lol (I was viewing them while not logged in) this was for the comment thread.
The drawing tool looks great on my phone! (Moto g stylus) however the alpha and size text is overlapped by the sliders. Other than that, it looks good!
thats ok I'm glad it works at least (the new comments)
yup the draw tool is still far far from finished .. (I also keep pressing Z and Y by reflex when drawing )
now I think I solved the palette overlap -- but it kinda broke the draw avatar part ..
The drawing tool will not draw with my current tablet setup. I use a Huion Kamvas 22 graphics tablet on a google chrome browser on a Windows operating system. Whenever I attempt to draw it doesn't register.
Been using my iPhone (12 pro max) with iOS 15.2.1 installed; not latest.
Also used my PC, Windows 10 OS, Firefox browser.
Have yet to try my tablet; ipad 9th gen, also use Apple pencil (1st gen) with it on Panel Jam, so will try it out on here too ๐
Hope this all helps ๐๐
Oh, and resolution is:
iphone (2532 x 1170)
PC (4K resolution, 3840 x 2160)
strangely enough the iPhone 12 pro is listed in the chrome resolution emulator but for 390x844 .. i'm not sure what is going on .. does it look ok on it?
the difference comes from pain telling the resolution in pixels, while chrome emulator lists the resolution in points
that is good to know .. now that I think about it I more need to worry abbout 4k monitors .. I expect the canvas to be very tiny (zooming sort of works now though)
hmm.. all this fancy new tech confuses me
Looks and works great on the iPhone, Peyocay, and there is a neat way to simulate different devices using the Inspect tool in browsers; used it in Mozilla Firefox and Chrome. You can choose an ipad and other tablets even to test. But thatโs probably common knowledge, I felt worth sharing just in case ๐
On a 4K display, works even better, ha ha, and yes, small canvas, but nothing zooming up to 180% did not fix; and still looked smooth throughout, canvas filled the screen perfectly (27โ monitors), and not scaling issues, or blurriness, looks sharp.
Drawing was nice too, and love the full tool on shapes!
Favourite part of the site on the 4K is probably browsing galleries (in progress or completed). Fills up screen nicely and can scroll easily).
Did notice that the header icons are text on PC in browser, but zooming in to 260% made them icons; guessing thatโs because the adaptive nature of the siteโs layout at that zoom level mimicking mobile device?
indeed and that is what I'm using to test .. but alas it's not 100% accurate: e.g. for my mobile it doesn't take into account the browsers address bar size .. so I have a lot less space to work with than it actually displays
(fortunately with this new anti-css method if a very exotic resolution comes up I can just add hack with unique positions for all the tools easily .. well easier than with css .. css is like building a ship in a bottle.. without knowing the trick for it)
yes, if you zoom in it also seem to change the resolution of the inner window so you might get to mobile level
