`a regular person` that is definetly a bug but I seem to have trouble reproducing it 🤔 (so far checked on firefox and chrome and seemed to be ok) can you tell me more about your setup? (tablet? pc? mobile? browser?) just in case it might be a special case 🤔 and does it happen every time you try to copy? also if anyone else is reading this please let me know if it happens to you 🤔

I use a samsung tablet with chrome browser. Maybe I should switch to another browser and see if I got the same bug there too

`a regular person` so far I tried replicating it in an android emulator and tried edge browser but no luck (as in both seem to work ok) maybe this is something samsung specific 🤔 for the shading it seems the layer for it was not saved properly somehow - but I don't have an explanation for how that happened 🤔 (it's not comforting this can happen - but also unrelated - so its another bug entirely)

`a regular person` that outrules my theory of old browser shenanigans as that is quite a recent version 🤔 so far ai suggested a possible reason and I added a small fix.. please see if there is any improvements 🤔 and just to be clear: only the tools dont work when this happens or the whole painting thing goes kaput? e.g. do buttons still work? 🤔

`Peyo` I was still able to click buttons. I think the brush actually worked, but the strokes were invisible while drawing. When I submitted, I saw that all the random lines I drew were suddenly there lol

`a regular person` oh I think I know what is up then if you click on the image itself it switches to onion mode and you couldn't tell because you copied the image and it showed the same image 😮 (onion is mode is to show the previous frame for tracing but by default its 100 opacity - I need to somehow indicate that its turned on to be more obvious - you see a little onion slider on PC when its on but might be not so visible on tablets 🤔)

`a regular person` I guess it was not so much a coding error but an ui design error after all 😅 for now I changed the default onion opacity to 50% and added a onion button under the images so you need to press the button instead the image itself hopefully it will be less confusing this way 🤔 (still it feels far from perfect 😓)

Anyway to keep us from constantly being logged out of the site once we leave and come back? At first, it seemed like a week. Then, it started seeming like every day. Now, it seems to be whenever I come back to the site after leaving and when I come back.

`KagomeShuko` a week should be the normal from what I gathered due to host being shared it's not fully under the sites control when your login session is cleared 😓 so far it seems to be random for whom it happens to and when 🤔 (I didn't got far fixing this even with ai help 😔) so right now my answer is I have no idea if there is a way to fix this web deving is completely fubar nowadays 🤔

I'm in the USA in Louisiana.I used a mobile internet box from T-Mobile so signal probably comes from Texas (Houston or Dallas or Beaumont, I'd imagine). I use a Chromebook, so the Chrome browser that is on it.

`KagomeShuko` I read up on stuff and it's possible that chrome simply doesn't trust the site 🤔 (they whitelist sites like facebook etc) can you confirm you are not in incognito mode? and also if you click the icon next to the site name (next to pchutney.com) there should be a padlock icon of sort does it says anything about cookies being blocked? 🤔 (this site only uses a single login cookie)

`Peyo` Not using incognito. I rarely do as it's just me that uses my Chromebook as I live by myself right now. I have third party cookies blocked, but not others.

`KagomeShuko` well that is all common possibilities exhausted then 🤔 hmm.. if it was a server side thing you would have occasional logouts (as php uses a randomised approach) so I still suspect that chrome just doesnt like this site 🤔 do you have any other device besides the chromebook? (and I mean something that is not a chromebook - phone or pc or whatever) just to see if login lasts longer on one? 🤔

I only have Chromebooks where I can access the site. I'm in the hospital right now. I have a huge wound on my upper left thigh that needed debridement and now needs wound care. The logging in all the time gets irritating, but it's the least of worries for me with everything going on in my life.

I'm still in the hospital/rehab, and I've not mentioned it, but I was hoping that I would have good outcomes and things would change, but now my home isn't safe to return to at all (never really has been safe when I got back in 2024) because of contractor fraud. There are rats everywhere and the home was never fully repaired and the contractor even made more troubles in the house after Hurricanes Laura and Delta. Also, dealing with health problems because while I got I removed in June 2022, I had a cardiologist take advantage of me while I was in an altered mental state because of thrush in my throat and broken heart syndrome and implant one of those leadless pacemakers,the Medtronic Micra AV, into my heart. It was causing so many problems and I finally got the confirmation when I figured out to get my records from the hospital where he operation to remove it was done that the pacemaker was in the completely wrong spot and it was blocking blood flow and oxygen to all of my organs and all of my nerves.

`Peyo` Somebody got donations to get an exterminator to work on my house so they get rid of the rats and block of access to them. I'm out of rehab, but I can't live I my home. I don't really have money as the nerve damage makes it impossible for me to work as I never know that is going to happen - my legs could give out suddenly (a drop track) or I could suddenly fall asleep (a sleep attack), so my family in California helps me keep my bills paid, but that's about it. I need funding for the little motel that I'm in (it's the cheapest one in my area). `a regular person` it happened to me a few times too.. but it really got out of hand lately 🤔 usually 529 just means servers are overburdened .. but of course we are on shared hosting so its not something we can do about 😓 so far I wrote to our host about it and got a ticket number - I'll keep you guys updated 🤔
