![](/gui/icon_trash.png) can be now used to delete the first layer (BG) to transparency use the ![](/gui/icon_nuke.png) to erase (BG) back into a solid color (I guess it was the expected behavior anyway)

(there is a bug where the ![](/gui/icon_eraser.png) doesn't erase the transparency from BG yet .. I'll let you know when it's fixed) (update: eraser should now work the same on all layers)

also you can remove the borders of a strip in the EDIT (it's not in +new strip yet)

So the Nuke symbol nukes the layer to the color you have selected? I was wondering why there wasn't a fill tool but I never would have expected that, as usual, nuclear weapons solve all my problems!

I guess you could also use the rectangle tool to do the same thing (if you want to use transparency that is the nuke should always nuke it to non transparent)

Oh alright! Yes I was using the rectangle tool previously, and I took your post as meaning the nuke button would "nuke" the background to whatever color you had selected.
