So alongside, doodling we can also take pictures on the internet and insert them into our panels?
one problem with the whole thing is it would kind of defeat the whole purpose of the site.. but I'll probably change my stance on that eventually (I already did on other things)
thing is accessing the clipboard is not that easy -- especially through javascript -- especially for images
(need to get all sort of hoops, security and such)
and of course I still need to implement some sort of selection system to work first before attempting to solve that part
err.. so it may be added but only in the far far future
I was at first against this idea but then when I thought it over, I realized all the reasons I was against it were due to its potential for abuse in damaging strips easily. The other features `Peyo` has put in allow strip creators to defeat derailing and vandalizing, so now I like the idea! I'd love to use it for making backgrounds or panels that were method-heavy in Krita then uploading them to strips.
I know this is not necessary to say but it would be wise to wall such a feature off so only established users can have it, otherwise it just becomes a potential vandalism tool for trying to expose users to unwelcome images before running away snickering, tripping over your shoelaces, and falling face first into dog poo.
I also feel it sorta defeats the purpose of having a built in site art system. The point being to use the art tools and be creative. I could see this possibly undermining that by the use of images that have already been made. Really it just also feels generally unnecessary.
I also have unconventional views, as I tend to believe that having more options often promotes laziness, and thereby lessens creativity.
I'm not saying it's a terrible idea, and I can certainly see benefits to it, but sometimes half the fun is the challenge of creating something without optimal tools. This can be used to inspire new methods of doing things. Not to mention (What an odd phrase, mentioning something but claiming not to mention it), on the opposite end of the spectrum, having many tools causes some people to become very perfectionistic which can be very distressing.
it seems most of us see the potential positive and negative things about this feature ..
of course it will be a very long time until we need to decide if we want to add this ..
but I guess ultimately the solution will be to add it as an optional thing and not enabled by default (just another checkbox in the ever growing extra tab section)
